Classic Baseball by Walter Iooss Jr.

This has (almost) nothing to do with baseball cards.
If not that because I love the Iooss 93 Upper Deck insert set so much, I decided to go see what was out there in terms of books with Iooss Jr's photographs. I already knew about the Rare Air one (around Jordan), but that's about it.

A few clicks later, I purchased that book. And it's a beauty. I'll let the photos speak for themselves.

And many more, of course !

  1. The Pirates made smoking cool. At least it was just cigarettes in the picture. The late 70's Pirates smoked, popped and snorted all kinds of stuff.

  2. Oh, maaaaaaaaaaan... I freakin' LOVE Iooss' photography. I'm going to have to look out for that book.

Way back, more years than I'd care to think about, I had a Walter Iooss wall calendar that I loved so much that I kept it. It's still around here... somewhere. When it turns up next, I'll have to share it with everybody.

    1. I would've been all over a Iooss wall calendar back then ! But it was before the internet, and all I had were a few 93 UD cards, and a SI cover with Griffey and Frank Thomas on it
